With Orton Gillingham tutoring, students learn foundational skills, including sound/symbol relationships and how to blend sounds together to form words, and then we build upon these foundations to help students develop stronger reading and writing skills. Students learn how to decode words containing blends, consonant digraphs, vowel digraphs, silent e patterns, multi-syllabic words, and even learn to decode words with various prefixes and roots.
Orton Gillingham tutoring can truly do wonders for students with dyslexia. It teaches them key foundations in reading and writing that they need to help them thrive in school.
